Several events can lead to your VPS restarting:
Restart following maintenance#
Your VPS may be restarted by our teams following maintenance (such as a hardware replacement operation on a host, for example). Wherever possible, maintenance operations that may cause your VPS to be interrupted are scheduled, and you are informed by email. However, some situations (a critical hardware failure) may require immediate intervention, without prior scheduling.
Restart following an incident#
Most of our VPS plans (KVM, LXC, ...) are built on HA infrastructure and have automatic failover in case of an incident. This means your VPS is automatically restarted if it was located on a host that suddenly became inoperative.
In the vast majority of cases, your VPS is restarted less than 15 minutes after the fault is automatically detected.
